I saw this Secretary Bird in Botswana. It is a bird of prey which lives in the grasslands and is mostly terrestrial.

Rob’s theme for #BirdOfTheDay is #BirdsOnTheGround and Merlin’s BOTD for me was the Bearded Reedling, so I combined it all in one picture. 🪶 The reedlings are swallowing grit to prepare their digestive system for their winter diet of seeds.
