From this minister's op-ed: "People wanting to experience God are more likely to meet the Divine trying to shut down the Broadview, Illinois, ICE facility than we ever were in church...God does not live in our houses of worship, but...with those who are bearing the brunt of cruelty in this moment."
Oh wow @reuters.com got the photo here:

He doesn't want the report released because it's evidence he was never invited to the island by his best friends who turned out to be talking shit about him all of the time.
Man, look: The regularity with which Trump defends his relationship with Epstein by noting that he never went to Epstein's island makes me think 1) that the island is where the really heinous shit went down and 2) that Trump knows that very, very well.
he’s crashing out

That's Villa Legend Anwar El Ghazi, a true hero in sports in a time when those are fairly uncommon.

Seriously. This is the solidarity of the elite with the most heinous criminals perpetrating industrial violence against the most vulnerable people. If you’re going to try to find nuance here your judgment is completely unreliable to the point of suspicion.
anyone trying to defend NYT right now should be investigated.
We’re seeing materials that no journalists, not Julie Brown, not Ronan Farrow, not anyone from any paper, managed to get access to before now. The conspiracy theories bouncing around about NYT are nothing more than a show people’s ignorance of what goes into a real piece of investigative journalism

And can the class recall the newsworthiness of the context of any other emails coming out?
The emails that you’re seeing now are news in themselves, but that’s because of how they’re coming out—a congressional committee released them—& the context in which they’re being viewed. A guy emailing a reporter talking about old girlfriends or saying someone is “dirty” is not a whole news story.

For a specific generation of fan, Robert Edwards is, at worst, the third most popular Patriots player in their history. It's just one of those things.
Per Patriots' PR, if TreVeyon Henderson has a 50-yard run vs. the Jets, it will be the first time the Patriots have had a 50-yard run in back-to-back games since 1998 when Sederick Shaw had a 51-yard run vs. IND (9/13) and Robert Edwards had a 53-yard run vs. TEN (9/20).

Good. Great. Waiting until the day that the man was going to be executed still amounts to torture.
BREAKING: Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt stops the scheduled execution of Tremane Wood today, commuting his sentence to life without parole.

In doing so, Stitt accepted the recommendation of the Pardon and Parole Board. This is Stitt’s second death-sentence commutation as governor.

I can't say enough: I have solar panels that cover, I would assume, half of my angular craftsman-home roof (ie, only about 1/3 of the panels face the sun at the same time) and I produce nearly twice as much energy as I use and I pay half as much for the loan as my electric bill before the install.
Rooftop solar is the "fast-breeder superpower reactor" of energy ⚡

🌞 300M homes = upto 2.5 TW of capacity, nearly double today’s global solar fleet
🌍 Cuts 1–2 Gt CO₂ each year — like removing hundreds of millions of cars from the road

Today is a good day to remember, and to say, that the #MeToo movement was right, and was righteous, and has been vindicated over and over again. There was no overreach. There was no excess. There was no they-went-too-far.

So much work remains to be done.

Sadly with the Browns failing Harold Fannin and the season on the brink, we had to retire “Fannin’s Wretched of the Turf” for a new team name.

The Democratic position should be "Trump should be in jail alongside every member of the Republican party whose sum political project is enabling a child predator to starve your kids, invade our cities and run concentration camps."
So on Epstein, the Democratic position should be "Trump should resign." If you are a Democratic elected, practice saying "We demand the president's resignation" in front of a mirror as many times as it takes until the dry-heaving that comes from having a phobia about actually doing politics passes.

Your vote matters! Vote Child Pedophile Protectors or Child Pedophile Protectors Protectors!
Smiling serenely at the fact that between a clean sweep election and this release, Senate Dems gave the Republicans everything they wanted.
i just want to stress that this isnt about trump anymore, its about the entire republican party and maga movement covering for a child sex trafficking ring

Raise your hand if you know a pastor who has said the phrase “I have them for one hour on Sunday and Fox News has them for the rest of the week.” Read a magazine? Get real.
Christianity Today is an influential magazine in Evangelical circles, and it's a noteworthy signpost that they're doing stories like this because it's the kind of story that pops bubbles.

A Colombian couple prayed with neighbors and raised their children in one of America’s most influential churches. What did we gain from their deportation?

Radioing in the Charlotte airport code to the National Guard and they'll never find it. Planes start falling from the sky. All souls perished.
Rep. Pat Harrigan: "I have asked Josh Stein, our governor, to consider working with President Trump to allow the National Guard to come into Charlotte ... use the National Guard as a force multiplier and they can a lot of load off the Charlotte PD."

If we're LOTR posting today I started reading Fellowship to my kids last night while they have their quiet time to get ready for bed. There were *quite* a few questions about pavilions for a couple of kids who didn't want to listen to their Gaffer reading a book aloud...
