Happy November 14th to all who celebrate the second appearance of Dr Manhattan after being atomized in a lab accident. Be sure to horrify whoever you appear to, when screaming for thirty seconds before vanishing

This is... confusing. But also just a bummer, because even if Johnson manages to pull this off, I'll miss Lyonne as Charlie so much.

What's that account that posts journalists trying to rephrase things to avoid repetition? Because the otherwise very good profile on the Mountain Goats in GQ has this absolutely excellent one

I've been working all day - once more - on this murder mystery podcast (not true crime; a serialised, semi-interactive audio novel). I think this is going to be one of the best things I have begged the general public to engage with, over the years. Will begin in the weekend November 28-30.

Saw two great local comedy shows last night. Everyone's Dating Ollie was a sweet and sincere bit of date-themed clowning with a bravura breadstick closer. But Stan Skinny was the highlight - a solid hour of physical comedy plus expert wordplay. Watching him win over the crowd was a delight.

Been enjoying all the Zohran design, but hadn't seen this inside-the-Z forms. Very cool!
Well done Zohran! And of course the real victor of the day - typography.

Wild to me that Watsky never(?) performed "Boxes" live, because it has some of my favourite lines of his. "We were already fading, we just didn't know it yet / Holding on to the light of my perfection tucked under my arm like a late Blockbuster cassette"

I used to work at a small shop that made little plastic vampires.

There were only 2 of us working there, so I had to make every second count.

In the most contentious interview on the show to date, Riley grills centenarian salesman Timothy Gum (Sash) about his products and his allergies. Plus, Riley takes a spam call and Tom steals a helicopter.

I love a good lawyer/journalist showdown
EXCLUSIVE: One Saturday afternoon in October, my phone lit up with a notification.

I glanced down at the message.

“Anna, Lindsey Halligan here,” it began.

So began my text exchange with the woman who is prosecuting the president's perceived political enemies.
