Ah I see why Jeselnik liked “Perfection” by Vincenzo Latronico: it’s essentially a very long joke. For a Gen Xer like me that also attached myself to tech the way Anna and Tom did, this book is pretty devastating and an indictment of a lot of the cons we run on ourselves. Brutal punchline.

Couple next to me whispered all thru Stereophonic quite loudly. After, I said “did you know when you whisper other people can hear you?” The woman said “sorry” and the guy puffed up. “Why didn’t you say something?” Sorry dude I didn’t realize I had to tell you not to talk during a play.
