At the risk of sounding trivializing or reductive, this reminds me of teaching middle school. You can tell middle school students to "not take the bait" and just ignore bullies, but it won't matter unless you show them that you're in control, not the bullies, and that you're able to keep them safe.

ICE shoots into vehicles because nobody's actually pulling weapons on them. But they know a vehicle can be considered a deadly weapon in court, and it's the only justification they're gonna find for what they're obviously itching to do.
This is the ninth shooting by ICE since September (I did not know that). All of them were into vehicles.

There is NO REASON for immigration enforcement to have guns in the first place.
Being in the country without legal authorization isn't even a crime. It's a violation of CIVIL law.
Update: As of January 7, The Trace has identified 28 incidents, including 14 shootings, in which federal agents shot someone or held them at gunpoint during an immigration enforcement action under Trump’s crackdown. At least four people have been killed and five others have been injured.

Yes, this is a wag the dog scenario intended to distract from the Epstein files. But also, I wouldn't be surprised if Stephen Miller were pushing Trump into war with Venezuela specifically to justify deportations using the Alien Enemies Act.
Really looks like the United States is about to launch a regime change war against Venezuela with:
