I hate that AI has made me approach cute animal videos with an air of suspicion. I resent having to harden my heart to the possibility of an unlikely friendship between a very large dog and a very small one

Old trains in the yards around Crewe station wot I had not seen before:

• not just the APT train in a siding, but a decrepit-looking APT power car just by itself
• an old Manchester Metrolink T-68 tram, hiding behind trees
• an InterCity 225 locomotive with the name plaque *My Lovely Horse*

Shoutout to our super-friendly & helpful local ironmonger/hardware shop who, when I was struggling and failing to find a sufficiently small spanner to tighten these bolts on the bed, suggested wingnuts instead and gave me two free. Try that level of service in Wilko’s. Love your local high street <3

Some numtot-fapping twink in Labour Caerphilly is desperately trying to make their doomed byelection candidate into Andy Byford
Welsh Labour have genuinely posted this video of their Caerphilly candidate Richard Tunnicliffe on social media.

Turn the sound on. 🔊🔊

It had the caption: "Vote for this total diva on Thursday October 23rd."

I have no idea what to say.

Hello folxbunch! Peculiar first post on here but I am clearing out some stuff, and looking to give away a few copies of: (1) the annotated script book and (2) the songbook of How to Win. NB these are from the 2017 version, so, "retro collectors items" 🤗.
Free to a good home, DM me or something xx

Discovering computer as an adult makes you go crazy. Discovering computer as a baby makes you go crazy. In all of human history, there will only ever be one generation to discover computer at the correct age: 13
The problem with every post-Millennial generation is they got to go straight to high speed internet. Of course you'll get computer madness that way. Make them start with those old screeching modems and work their way up

Holding important meetings, lamenting bad things, urging people to do good things. The same routine for 20 months. And all the while the arms exports continue, the surveillance flights continue, trade and investment continues, normal diplomatic relations continue. Complicity in genocide continues.

After seven years of uncertainty and three hugely disruptive years of works, I am OVERJOYED to wake up to news from our management company confirming the flats are no longer Likely to Support Combustion. Cladding hell is over*! 🥳🥳🥳

At @tate.bsky.social Modern tonight for a hugely moving, poignant, galvanising talk+viewing of the UK AIDS memorial quilt. It’s on display in the Turbine Hall until Sunday and oh *my* it’s important. It hit me like a ton of bricks. If you can, go

Today’s the joyous biannual occasion when Thames Water deigns to send you a bill, and doesn’t explicitly tell you that, despite your usage being up 4% year-on-year, your monthly direct debit is being whacked up by EIGHTY-SIX PERCENT. Fuck you and your asset-stripping dividends, Thames Water.

Mum & Dad are preparing to move house, for the first time in FORTY-THREE YEARS. Cue lots of time spent sorting through decades of memories (and Lego), and wistfully enjoying every moment spent in the house on these final visits because there aren’t going to be any more

There should be a little badge you can wear to let people know that your hair is 'doing a thing' today. I'm not trying to look like this. This isn't who I am. I invite you to accept it as I have and join me in hoping for better tomorrows.

I am so up for this confluence of civil disobedience and absolutely batshit, bonkers *absurdity*
I think the only way to deal with this is by making the absurdity legible, physical, and disruptive. So the first place who does this, all cis people show up and demand to show their birth certificates before being let in. You in?
This is going to be an absolute car crash, the Supreme Court verdict looks more absurd by the day
