So we now appear to be up to at least 80 Venezuelans killed.

For an operation that anonymous admin officials said yesterday was"virtually flawless."

Mamdani rescinded every executive order issued by Eric Adams after Adams's indictment, but still the "New York Times" is focusing exclusively on two of those orders that had to do with Israel.

There is someone singling out Israel here. And it isn't Zohran Mamdani.

look at some point you gotta face the fact that not everything is a distraction from everything else and there’s just a lot of bad stuff going on all the time
Schumer: "It makes you think that maybe to Trump he wants to distract the American people, as he always does, from the skyrocketing costs they are facing, from the Epstein files."

What makes Trump's bombing of Venezuela especially cruel is we already know how his administration treats Venezuelans who are displaced. Here in Chicago, masked federal agents have been kidnapping them from the streets, abducting them from barbershops, hiring sites, their homes.

Just woke up even angrier. Impeach, convict, remove. Draft articles now. Either we have a representative government or we don’t. Do not shut up about this until there’s a vote.

The way the press is treating chatbots, like they have agency and they “know” things all of a sudden, crossed the line recently from dumb and obsequious to something else entirely. Treating them as alive and making conscious decisions is an almost religious belief. It won’t age well.

Please remember that as this happens, women are also being stripped of the right to control their own bodies, young women are being pushed into tradwife bullshit, and a new generation of conservative men increasingly argue that women shouldn’t even have the right to vote

Anecdotally, in the early 90's the owner of the Cincinnati Reds, Marge Schott, made similar Hitler comments. It was a national controversy. She was suspended from managing the Reds for 2 yrs, forced to sell her stake in the team, & institutions that accepted her donations removed her name from bldgs
There have always been people in this country who defended Hiter. But, for decades since World War II, there was a strong, social consensus that Hitler was evil. And that consensus was enforced by mainstream institutions denouncing people who supported Hitler and broadly refusing to platform them.
Ugh! How did we go from a universal consensus that Hitler was the literal definition of evil incarnate to large swaths of the internet going "well, he did have some good points actually..." in less than a decade?😭

This is not hard. Artists are not responsible for ensuring the Kennedy Center remains relevant and successful. The center’s board is responsible for that, in a fiduciary way. All of this energy being directed at artists should be re-directed at the board.

NEW: Jan Crawford's attack on SCOTUS "corruption" narrative was its own substance-free narrative.

On Face the Nation, CBS News's chief legal correspondent went after Supreme Court critics as "dangerous." And yet, her court defense was completely lacking in specifics.

The “fun” thing about the kennedy center freakout is that conservatives have been carving out “creative” exceptions to anti discrimination laws so they can be bigots to ordinary people just trying to make a purchase, but if actual artists don’t want to perform for the god king they must be punished

I don’t think will is wrong but I’m pro trying stuff and campaigns that do not have kat’s money or media presence should try something else instead
Diverting their very limited resources from actual campaigning to mutual aid will:
-strain those resources
-potentially upset funders
-reach very few voters
-place them in legal jeopardy

For most candidates it will also not earn very much press
