This guy. THIS GUY.
Italian voice actor Carlo Bononi was the voice of all of the characters on Pingu. A trained clown by trade, he used a theater technique called grammelot, which consists of "speaking" in a mix of babbled gibberish noises. He improvised all the voices live and unscripted.

This is an important story and I'm glad it so clearly makes the point that hospice isn't just a place you go to die, it's also a service delivered out in the community. Hospice nurses are absolute champs at working out what people need and getting it to happen. This system cannot be allowed to fail.

#nzpol - I have had a look at these 'green shoots' ahead of the Prime Minister's State of the Nation Speech on Monday. The data tells us that we have spent two years regressing. Let’s not make it another 4. More at: craigrenney.substack.com/p/the-recove...

We've voted with our feet and not used ManageMyHealth for ordering a repeat prescription. Problem is that the practice is not equiped (even though they have one) for phone-based repeats. Ordered on Monday, still not processed by this morning.

If you are a kiwi and using Grok for any reason at all shame on you. What you’re doing is NOT ”a little bit of fun”, it impacts the lives of real people. Seek help.

The Manage My Health breach wasn’t a tech failure, it was a policy failure. This column traces how 30 years of privatisation, light-handed regulation and “high-trust” governance left NZ’s most sensitive health data in private hands, with no real oversight: www.democracyproject.org.nz/p/democracy-...

Why don’t we have a single, secure, government-run system for health records?

As well as failing at security, ManageMyHealth is failing at so many other things. They are clearly struggling at some clearly basic stuff. Probably not a company to trust with private information of any kind.

While I don’t have any direct evidence of this, the signs are all there that ManageMyHealth is “rogue” software.

For example, failure to delete old customer data, misconfiguration or non-configuration of important DNS records, lack of enforcement of secure passwords, and API end-point issues.

Pretty textbook on how not to do crisis communication for this type of attack. So here’s a little thread on what to do instead. 🧵

Manage My Health continues to be a case study in how not to handle a security breach.

For example, the lack of direct comms with users of the platform (still), and a number of exploitable issues that can be checked with basic tools still not fixed.
