I wrote a thing for Herald! The main point is that, between the injunction and statements by the company itself, we have a pretty good idea what happened now - and it's a pretty basic failure of access control. It's low hanging fruit for hackers.

Whatever you might think of Maduro, the seizure and kidnapping of a head of state takes us to a very dark place. Vast, arbitrary, extra-legal power, which could be exercised almost anywhere, regardless of the character of the target government.

Now they've captured Maduro - they need Machado in to enable US energy interests in, but they need Maduro alive to make it easier to provide the public relations of ongoing legitimacy for it all. It's just Noriega version 2.0. Military actions fulfill political purposes. Not even original ones.
It's clearly a snatch and grab with the chinooks. The problem is going to be getting out with all the manpads around.
The world should hope they do get out, because if they don't, there will almost certainly be hostages and lots more bullshit to come for everyone.
