Absolutely devastated to hear of the passing of Mani. It’s hard to overstate what a massive impact the Roses had on my formative years and beyond. I could talk about it for hours, but this isn’t the time or place. Rest in peace Mani.

Ian Brown and Tim Burgess were among those to pay tribute to Mani, whose death was announced by his brother and nephew
Gary “Mani” Mounfield, best known as a founding member and bassist of the Stone Roses, has died aged 63. The cause of death has not been shared.
His brother Greg Mounfield posted the news on Facebook: “It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to announce the sad passing of my brother.” His nephew also shared the news. Continue reading...

Ever since that incident, she has been routinely called upon by the tabloid press to oblige with bigoted comments on bigoted issues. I cannot understand why this is even still a cause for debate.
Gillian Duffey was a bigoted woman and Gordon Brown should’ve stuck to his guns and explained why his immediate reaction was justified.

Dubai is a bug light for dumb guys. It's all fast cars and living at the mall with the cops to keep "those people" out. It's the fantasy of a twelve year old.
it's weird to me how much Gulf states seem to dominate the imagination of the UK right at the moment. I assume it's largely about who's giving them money, but I also think "Dubai expat" is a common social type in their circles.
