Trump Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick admits he visited Jeffrey Epstein's private island in 2012 during a family vacation — after Epstein pleaded guilty in 2008 to a state-level charge of soliciting a minor for prostitution, which required Epstein to register as a sex offender.

Less than 14% of the 400,000 immigrants arrested by the Trump regime in the last year had charges or convictions for violent crimes.

It was never about going after the “worst of the worst.” It was always about terrorizing communities.

Democrats must refuse to fund this cruelty.

[frantically raising hand] ooh, ooh. I know. Because Americans have a constitutional right to vote but don't have a right to open a bank account or drive a car.
Mike Johnson: "Americans need an ID to drive, to open a bank account, to buy cold medicine, to file govt assistance, even to attend the DNC. So why would voting be any different? They can't answer that question."

Always a great sign for how things are going in your country when 21-year-olds are like “hey, I innovated a system to play bagpipes in tear gas”
Jack Duffy attaches a respirator to his bagpipes to play through tear gas. “I always play it whenever the police retreat because it's like, ‘You fucking ran while we stayed,’” he says.

This is why domestic "shuffle" flights between ICE detention centers have skyrocketed, much moreso than ICE deportation flights.

When you are moved to a different jurisdiction, you have to refile your habeas petition all over again. They want to wear people down so they'll give up on their cases.

"A threat to anyone’s constitutional rights is a threat to us all. Today, immigrants are being detained without due process. Tomorrow, under the Government’s [view], American citizens could be subject to the same treatment. This Court will not allow such an unraveling of the Constitution."
BONUS RULING: Judge Thomas Johnston, a George W. Bush appoiintee in West Virginia, used a recent ruling to warn of the dangers of defying due process for immigrants because of what it could also mean for Americans. It's worth a read.

Ciscomani...? Isn't he that guy who refused to vote in favor of releasing the Epstein Files until Trump gave him permission? Wasn't he also a big fan of Trump's "Big Beautiful Bill"? Doesn't that mean he believes kids don't deserve healthcare, but that Elon Musk needs more money?

80,000 people is just a number that makes my stomach clench thinking about it
ICE is currently holding around 80,000 detainees. Nazi Germany didn't reach this number in its formal camp system until 1942, nine years after seizing power and three years into the war.

The choice to frame this rhetorically as a negotiation *with ICE and DHS* rather than, you know, a decision about their future made by their rightful superiors in the popularly elected legislature is, to me, incredibly grating.
Our DHS reform demands are exceedingly reasonable.

We're asking ICE to do nothing more than follow the standards that the vast majority of law enforcement agencies already follow.

Republicans, the ball is in your court. The clock is ticking.

Yep. ICE's paramilitary warfare against Americans is stirring opposition even among MAGA-adjacent constituencies, and the data shows this is not just a superficial reaction to ICE violence or tactics, it's a rejection of the broader ideological project of mass deportations:
Even among Trump's core constituencies, opposition to ICE is strong. Turns out that most people don't like living in a police state.
