IT'S FEBRUARY 2026.

THE RAIL ENABLED HYUNDAI FERRIES FOR I REX WERE MEANT TO ARRIVE BY NOW.

Instead we have no rail enabled ferries, the two we have are clunky as fuck, and there will be no replacement ferries until 2029 at the earliest.

Mouldy school meals saga continues - as per RNZ article, multiple school staff reported the same: "As we started looking we were finding more hot mouldy meals spread throughout the good ones, this was the case for all of the Cambros we went through...grey and mouldy and smelt the putrid...."

Exactly. Racists too - why are we supporting them and being obsequious to them? Is it greed alone?

It seems that the USA will not hold pedophiles accountable and rich assholes have free rein.
Question is: how do we in other countries feel about that? We should start boycotting. And pressuring our governments to boycott the USA.

If you're seeing the news that some ICE agents are being removed from Minnesota, it's all talk.

There are still over 2k ICE agents here causing chaos, ripping apart families and communities, detaining anybody they want.
I know 3k agents qualified as the largest number deployed anywhere in the US... But I thought that was true of 1.5k when we hit that, & there's still >2k free to terrorize us.

Plus, that only factors MN.
Those ~700 still have jobs & will be sent SOMEwhere to occupy The People, which still isn't ok.
This is a political stunt. There are still over 2000 agents actively terrorizing our communities.

🗣️ We said ICE out of our neighborhoods — all of them, now.

#nzpol New unemployment data from Stats NZ today, showing the impact of an economy that isn't working. An additional 5,000 people became unemployed during the quarter, rising to levels last seen in 2015. 164,000 people are now unemployed, up 39,000 in just 2 years. A🧵

so, still no stories about this in msm this morning, running out of time there folks
An important *impending* example, that might be *more* important to cover, is that Steven Pinker was an associate of Epstein which has been reported on since at least 2019, AND in the latest tranche

This is what NZ First made legal when they got into power - destroying ecosystems.

"Aotearoa New Zealand needs to get out of the pattern of crisis and response. We know that climate change charged weather events are going to become more frequent and more extreme, and we need to plan accordingly," CS

NZ has fallen into a 'crisis and response' pattern on climate disaster, experts say. Billions have been spent on storm recovery since 2023, while key climate adaptation funding and planning tools have been cut.

if everyone had access to a living wage, had free and wraparound healthcare, and a safe and dry/warm place to live, many of the problems we face now as a society would disappear. And it would be cheaper to fund than privitised prisons
