And it's not just Grok, either. If we care about what happened on X we should care equally about the proliferation of nudifier apps being advertised across Meta platforms and the easy access of AI tools that achieve the same harm. Like Australia and the UK, we should ban them here.

That certain politicians don't follow suit should be noted. Not agreeing w how Musk handled the "Grok thing" is not actually the point. It was allowing a tool that could generate sexualised deepfakes w/o consent on the platform in the first place. That's widespread image based sexual abuse #nzpol

For context Rakiura's precious eggs are being incubated by rangers and are due to be returned to hatch with mum in her nest.
DoC just posted "Next time Rakiura goes out to feed, we’ll aim to give her a new stand‑in 'smart egg' that plays pre‑hatch chick sounds. This may help her get ready for the almost‑hatching eggs due to arrive soon."
