My dad and I are having chicken and relaxing together. We are warm and I am as happy as I have ever been.

It was on this day, mirroring the break taken by public officials immediately after the end of traditional New Year observances, that the King of Hell opened the lids of the cauldrons in the underworld.

Surveillance of welfare recipients is not an appropriate response to people in increasingly desperate circumstances committing violent acts.

But Labor's plan seems to be just introducing more pre-crime punishments until needing welfare is itself seen as the crime.

That Alcoa has allowed this happen on their watch is appalling. Their industry should be wound up. These forests & their eco-systems must be protected.
