I wouldn’t mind having apps for everything if people just wrote software properly in the first place, and respected memory usage, user experience, user interface design, assistive technology, proof reading their own documentation, and not using web views everywhere. Write native code, you cowards.

I cracked the code. Told my boomer dad that having motion smoothing on his TV 'makes it work twice as hard' and will 'wear it out faster' and now hes obsessed with making sure its off.

I maintain that much of the events of the past five years can be explained by COVID19-induced sub-clinical brain damage. Most folks have had it, it knocks ~2 points off IQ (using it as an approximation for cognitive ability here), and, like 1.5℃ of climate change, that's much worse than it sounds.

Things I’ve learned about losing luggage: I *can* pack less in future and get away with carry-on. I think I’m just going to do that in future.
