up until the (in retrospec) incredibly stupid decision to phase out nuclear power, I was under the impression that a German nuclear deterrent would have been a comparatively turnkey operation, now I’m not sure.
Look let's be clear whose fault this is, I can't blame Germany or France in the least for having this conversations, etc etc. All true.

But the fact remains: GERMAN NUKES?!

The Pentagon has long been developing anti-drone weapons meant for use in war zones where they can control air traffic. But the DoD hasn’t yet figured out how to safely deploy them within crowded civilian skies. That didn’t stop them loaning some out to CBP to shoot off over Texas.
