Part of this is because, before the candidate switch, the media somehow framed the choice as Biden (old) v. Trump (not, despite being just as old and decrepit) and they can’t bear to admit that they were wrong

I’m the leading proponent of the “just draft the best guys from college and don’t overthink it” strategy so I’d like to be on record saying McCarthy, despite winning a title, was never one of those cases. If he didn’t have a world historically great college defense, he’d have basically been a D3 guy
