GPU prices were inflated because of crypto mining. RAM prices are being inflated because of AI and data centers. Basically computing is a market whose value keeps getting artificially inflated with gimmicks, and the consumer suffers.

I had extra Italian parsley so here's a plated chicken in mushroom gravy with jasmine rice dish. Normally this just all goes into a big bowl and gets mixed together. It's delicious but doesn't look great.

"I Heard It's a Mess There Too" has made me realize I need to give up on ranking best album. Both it and "Black Hole Suprette", which of the two I prefer Black Hole, are better then most rappers best albums, competing with the sheer poetry of Propagandas The Beautiful Ending and a few others

Seattle Mayoral race has remained within a few points of each other the last few days. I really should have made time to volunteer for Katie's campaign. Still the most disappointing thing is how few people in Seattle voted. I'd estimate just barely 200k of somewhere around 700k voters in Seattle did

i want to repeat this: mamdani and spanberger have run similar campaigns tailored to their respective electorates and it is maddening to watch political journalists attempt to create some broad contrast where none exist
the other thing about this is that there is no reason to pit these candidates against each other? each are good fits for their respective electorates and each shows the value of vigorous campaigns focused on the stated material problems of voters.

I’m coining the phrase “the centrist two-step.” Step 1 is declaring that the left needs to focus on kitchen table issues instead of social issues to win back voters and step 2 is insisting that all left-wing approaches to kitchen table issues are impossible to deliver on.
