U.S. data centers currently consume roughly 4 percent of the nation’s electricity and that the figure could climb as high as 12 percent by 2028, Alex Stevens and Samuel Peterson write.

"It raises the question: If demand is surging and prices are rising, why hasn’t supply kept pace?"
Opinion | The real issue strangling America’s electric grid
AI data centers are being blamed for price spikes manufactured in statehouses and D.C.

Opinion | The Epstein files fiasco was completely foreseeable
A document dump betrays the Justice Department’s mission, but bipartisan pressure demanded one.

That’s part of the point that this administration is making—“quality of life and dignity as we age is for the wealthy.”

My wife is a nurse, and her Mom is in one of those facilities. The facility's solution to that situation, is WE should take her into our house and take care of her. I have no problem with something like that, but we both have to work to support both of our mothers. It cant be done

Starting in February, skilled nursing facilities will no longer be required to have an actual nurse not one on site 24 hours a day.
Seniors and people who have disabilities that need them to live in these facilities and and their families should be livid.

Yup. Purely as a Republican finance point of view, if you kill off the people getting Social Security, like me, said savings can be applied to the Tax Cuts for the wealthy. I had a college economy teacher tell me that 4 decades ago.

New tax plan released by R’s

Low-income earners, including many single-parents, would pay a higher tax under the proposal because refundable credits are reduced or restricted, while tax cuts for higher earners are expanded and made permanent.

That’s not a talking point — it’s how the math works.🤬
