The GOP “plan” for healthcare is and always has been “people get sick because they’re morally inferior so let them die if they can’t afford treatment and since I assume I am not one of them it will never happen to me or anyone I care about.”
In re: the GOP "plan" for healthcare. When the ACA passed and my sister was angry about it, I asked her what she thought would be the best healthcare plan for the country, and the only policy change she offered was to allow insurance companies to sell across state lines. That'll fix everything.

Some thoughts about the military parade in my hometown of Washington DC today -- specifically, the route. Military parades in DC are quite rare. But when they happen, they have always begun, symbolically and geographically, at the Capitol and moved outward. 1/

For years Repubs have pushed back on any prescriptive advice from govt on nutrition or purchases. So they elected Trump who is making foreign goods unaffordable and he appointed Kennedy who is going to tell us how to eat and get rid of medicine (the govt will emphasize prevention, not cure.)

I believe Musk and his buddies also want access to this data to fulfill their personal and professional ambitions. Musk has long wanted complete control over consumer banking. Finally, the data they seek - much of it already moved to private servers - can be sold or monetized in countless ways.
