Hey

You know that one project?

That one you've wanted to write FOREVER except it's scary as hell & maybe you don't feel good
enough or brave enough or strong enough?

Spend 15 min on it today

Keep the dream alive

Even a pot on the back burner needs to occasionally be stirred

But the point (there is a point) is, people fetishise the idea over the hard work of plotting and character development and research and internal consistency and just writing the fucker, because the Idea is the sparkly magic bit.

And this is what makes them put value in the AI prompt.

Human brains produce new ideas every second of every day. Sit down with a tiny child and ask them to explain something they're doing and you will hear half a dozen of them. Ideas are what humans *do*. The idea is by far the easiest part of any creative process.

officially about to set something on fire over MSFT sneaking in an A/I utility in the newest Office update

if you want to delete tf out of it, go to C:\Program Files\MicrosoftOffice\root\vfs\ProgramFilesCommonX64\Microsoft Shared\Office16

and delete the "A/I" folder (obvs without the / )

Really didn't expect the Catholic church to step up in this timeline
(I'm not saying they're paragons of inclusivity, but quite frankly considering our current politicians they're... well. Not doing that bad)

Not to mention authors don't get just ONE purchase. Libraries tend to purchase multiple copies of popular books, they also buy the physical audiobook, and audiobook streaming and ebook rights. Obviously not of EVERY book purchased, but requested/super popular ones they could buy all of these.
Libraries purchase books. When you see a book at the library, it isn’t “free”

the library bought it.

which in turn means that the community bought it.

In other words, library books are not lost sales for authors and publishers; they’re positive sales. Active sales. Those are bought.

Okay.

Real Estate Investing should not be a thing. the building I live in right now should have been a housing co-operative built with municipal, provincial, and federal funding and any "profit" made should have gone directly into a maintenance fund.

If you own more than house? TAXES. LOTS OF EM.
"my least woke opinion is---"

That's enough. We've had enough people indulging in the "thrill of a little conservatism", as a treat. Of considering reactionary thought to be a salacious and taboo in a world descending into reactionary mania.

Give me your MOST woke opinions. We're bringing it back.

I think a national conversation has to be had about how okay men are with preying on young girls, as an answer to empowered feminism. They want the weakest possible thing to them and everyone agrees it's badass and powerful.
"I don't agree" isn't enough, I need men to be openly hostile to it
Rape is not a deal breaker for conservatives, even if it's done to children, because it is a display of force and power, just like murder and war crimes, the right loves it, makes their guy seem "big"

But homosexual acts? That's an act of submission, that's the worst "crime" to a far right mind.

Sadly, my contract with Blizzard ended in September. That means I'm looking for fulltime or contract work as a senior writer or narrative designer. If you need someone who can write sharp characters, poetic prose, and emotional stories, I'm available! www.hazelmonforton.com
It's #portfolioday! I'm presently a senior narrative designer at Blizzard, but before that I was at Bungie and Arkane. I wrote for the Writer's Guild award-nominated Dishonored: Death of the Outsider, and a bunch of critically acclaimed seasons and expansions in Destiny 2.
