Hello chaps. Today we've launched the #TakingthePIP campaign to push back against the government's proposed reforms to Personal Independence Payment, a benefit for disabled people. Here's a great write up about the campaign.

This video made me realise we have a whole new generation about who have no memory of the late 2000s atheist movement.

Well,
This is genuinely so bad, he can’t even answer basic questions from budding teen atheists lmfao. It’s like that scene in game of thrones when all the children ganged up and stabbed grand maester pycelle to death

When he should be getting in that dim sum to appeal to the east asian vote.
You’re all such Bluesky dweebs reading the MSM… the thing which, as an aside, that keeps popping up unprompted in entirely unrelated conversations is…. Keir Starmer’s plan to dim the sun.

Much discussion exists about grief following adult neurodiversity diagnosis, very little exists about the majorly bummed out feeling of realising you're a savant in a really lame area.

everything I hear about the way new mothers are treated makes me think that if I ever have a kid, with my temperament, running on no sleep, I'll probably end up punching someone in the mouth
When my baby was a few days old and I was struggling to breastfeed her, a support worker who came to visit said to me “all the other new mums I visited today are breastfeeding”

And then in my notes she wrote that she wasn’t sure if I really wanted to breastfeed

Performative bullying of “soft” jobs and performative celebration of “hard” jobs is one of the most boring things in the world. And… god, it’s just miserable isn’t it? A thuggish fuck-you to loads of hard workers, and a denial of potential of the next generation. Know your place, kids.
The UK car industry contributes £22bn to the economy and employs c 35k people.

Universities contribute £265bn and employ nearly 400k, over 10x as much.

Yet he seems ok to let that sector implode.
