I don’t think anything more accurately defines Pathfinder players than the 1-2-1 diagonal movement thing. I literally couldn’t care less that diagonal movement on a grid should technically take more movement but for a certain group of gamers this is seemingly EXTREMELY important.

I'm gonna get in trouble for this again but ... if your book has no illustration, you may think it's complete because it's understandable but you've alienated a massive massive chunk of your potential audience.
and like of course illustration changes the book, and good illustration is amazing, but an RPG book with no pictures doesn't feel incomplete to me

I get that this is a gag but also - we can't swing an axe at a table or cast magic spells but we *can* talk and present an argument. This supposed discrepancy has never once felt as strange as it apparently does to a lot of people.
We don’t expect players who aren’t charismatic to say what they do to convince the guard, why do we expect players who aren’t skilled at squad-based small unit tactical combat to say what they do on their turn? Just let them say “I make the most optimal tactical decision” and roll the dice.
