This is something I've been trying to communicate for 1.5 years. The people who assumed everything would be fine and both sides are the same have been the worst stewards of democracy there have ever been...besides the people that voted for the end of it.

i suspect there are a lot of morons in a lot of european capitals right now wringing their hands about the risk of escalation. here's the truth: the real risk is failure to escalate. backing down is showing weakness. trump will know it.

Once again, I am calling on the Democratic National Committee to make it part of the party platform that should Trump invade Greenland, the next Democrat President will simply give it back.

What do they do that makes people stop being angry to come out and yell at them in in the freezing cold, follow them around filming them, defending their neighbors? The answer is nothing. I broke the story yesterday that masked ICE agents (not DOJ) were removing items including a personal computer from the home of Jonathan Ross, the ICE agent who shot Renee Good. I have yet to see a single news outlet cover this or an elected official even acknowledge it.

So much of the erosion of rule of law in the US and other western democracies is attributable to this white supremacist man child and a fear of his wealth. Other countries need to learn from the US example - you cannot coopt or negotiate with Musk - his goal is regime change by illicit means.
