Here's the thing: how would you make a card that any G or W deck could use, under current color rules?
They must be colorless (no pips). No activated abilities. You have to do clunky stuff like Thornwatch Scarecrow, writing out the color words every time. You can see why wotc wants this!

This part is wrong. Anything after Thanksgiving would have been MUCH more defensible.

I got ~120 that are interesting at all, but if I'm thinking B3 and up, I get 30ish (plus 8 companions) that really matter, though I'm probably still being generous here.

e.g. like red already has Pyroblast and REB and probably doesn't need it, but G, GB, or GW would kill for Guttural Response. But since they can't, right now it goes unused entirely.

One consideration is, if we're changing hybrid, do we also change phyrexian mana, or things that are only a second color because of a color identity indicator (no mana pips), like Archangel Avacyn?

six copies of chunky spells is often more than enough. I've never had this threaten to whack me (and it wouldn't necessarily be lights out if it did)
