Fun fact about the Salvation Army: they use a form of substance use treatment called work therapy. Oh, and by treatment, I mean they have people who have been convicted of drug charges work for their stores & warehouses in exchange for room, board, around a $1 a week, and minimal actual therapy.

Two weeks later, and i’m still crying over the loss of Ozzy Osbourne. I wasn’t even some big fan of Black Sabbath or his work. It’s just that without him, we wouldn’t have metal or any of the bands that saved my life when I was at my darkest. Rip, Ozzy, I’m glad you aren’t in pain anymore.

The response to Zohran Mamdani's campaign reminds me of the stories I've heard from ambitious, optimistic Millennials (esp. BIPOC) whose ideas are repeatedly shot down by managers, are told they don't have enough experience to be leaders, and are constantly subjected to microaggressions and racism.
