NEW this year, at NarraScope is a call for The Experience.

"a track dedicated to narratives with the intention to blur the lines between the physical and digital worlds."

Do read the lengthy list of project parameters for a better idea of what this can mean and can be.

So when Obama's list of favorite books of the year is more than double the total number of books I managed to read this year, I am doing something wrong, yes? (Yes.) *Sigh*

This column on Vox is the biggest pile of steaming AI crap I've seen this year. Human's aren't running out of ideas. Instead, those with power and money don't want to listen to ideas that threaten their power and money.

Ideas are plentiful. Putting those ideas into action is the hard part.
We’re running out of good ideas. AI might be how we find new ones.
What if the best use of AI is restarting the world’s idea machine?

This may be the death of me.
I posted yesterday about the shift to triaging 70% of NIH applications rather than 50%.

This is apparently just a temporary step to catch up for all of the study section meetings cancelled due to the government shutdown.

I hope NIH will collect some data to track the impacts of this change.
