Ok, let’s do this🙄

We’ll start with an explainer covering:

🕒What is a 15-minute city
🏫What on Earth is going on with Oxford
👽Where the conspiracy theories have come from

And then we’ll look at the Telegraph article

IMPORTANT: When transporting a giant puffball mushroom you have recently foraged, it is absolutely crucial that you ensure the mushroom is firmly strapped into the passenger seat of your car to guard against sharp braking and potential whiplash.

Paddington Bear (the film version) and the half-skeletal soul-eating bear thing from Annihilation were made by the same VFX team. They wanted to name Annihilation Bear after a less salubrious London railway station. It's called Homerton.

I am not making this up.
I think at this point the UK has accepted Paddington as the Death Bear, collector of souls. So, I think as a nation we should start smearing marmalade on the eyes of the dead and whisper “fare for the crossing”. It’ll feel weird now but, in three of four generations, no one will question it.

Now THIS is what bluesky needed: a proper, original viral thread. Joining such Twitter greats as Took Ketamine and Served Drinks to the Irish President, and Accidentally Ordered a Truck of Rice.

Had an intriguing editorial discussion recently: how did people in the past talk about 'minutes' when they didn't have watches or standardised times? How does that affect your thinking?

Come down an Elizabethan/Jacobean rabbit hole with me.

“I wasn’t going to reveal this till the endgame, but I’m increasingly uncertain this is Bargain Hunt”
What would be the thing YOU revealed about yourself halfway through The Traitors in an attempt to make yourself look cleverer than you are?

I think mine would be, "I've kept this to myself, but I'm actually an author of popular non-fiction. So I know a thing or two about... the truth."
