I *was* excited to make a twenty ingredient vegan sausage roll pastry thing this Christmas, but instead I'm now excited that I was finally able to eat a 'proper' meal (pasta with butter lol). Getting ill at Christmas is one thing, but also losing your appetite completely?? Eurghhh
Sighhh, we are both way too ill to travel (and don't want to infect parents) so have cancelled our Christmas plans. Currently suspecting that we both caught COVID.

on Thanksgiving I did the Kenji Lopez Alt thing where you cook the bird with hot stuffing rather than cold, it's a game changer
The stuffing never gets below 160F so v limited food safety concerns, but the whole bird cooks faster & juicer because you don't wait ages for the inside to get to temp
