Right, the answer isn't to abandon the party to these weasels.

The answer is to flood the party with people who will take it over and transform it.
Hey, a lot of people are talking about changing affiliation from Democratic to Independent.

Let me tell you why you shouldn’t do that in Colorado.

One of the main ways to get a primary challenge candidate on a ballot is to caucus for your party. You need to be registered as a Dem to caucus.

Shaheen and Hassan (along with King) "negotiated the deal... The deal would not include an extension of the expiring enhanced Affordable Care Act subsidies."

Does includes nearly $1bn in funding to enhance security measures and protection for members of Congress plus US Capitol Police. (CNN)
If you have a Dem senator and you're seeing this right now, CALL THEM RIGHT NOW and tell them NO. If you don't know anyone who would be affected by this, call them for my friend Lisa. She cannot afford insurance without ACA subsidies and without health insurance I'm terrified she will die.
! A key group of Senate Democrats is leaning toward voting for a deal to end the shutdown, provided final details can be worked out like worker protections (Gift link)

(Deal does NOT include an ACA extension.)

This is the correct explanation of what happened tonight👇
KBJ threaded the needle thanks to CA1’s unfinished business.

-if she denied the admin stay, the full SCOTUS woulda stepped in to override her.
-if she immediately referred the case to the full Court, they coulda dragged feet.
-instead she boxed them in to act quickly once she does refer the case.

🌕💥 DOUBLE LUNAR IMPACT!
Two asteroids slammed into the Moon last week—both caught by Japanese astronomer Daichi Fujii. Traveling at 60,000 mph, the space rocks left fresh craters in the lunar soil, a reminder our serene neighbor is constantly under fire.

Most folks that my mom worked with on "fowl plague" in 2009 have retired, burned out, or been laid off. In the past 15 years, some of their work bore fruit, like non-egg-based vaccines. Surveillance and response takes trained bodies in communities, which have been drastically cut this year.

Please, PLEASE, I am begging you as both a parent and someone who is sick of all this THIS, go vote for your school boards. Even if you don't have kids, that's how these reactionary dipshits got their feet in, that's where the book bans and library cuts start.

If Dems like @gallego.senate.gov want to get tough now that's great.

But they need to open with an abject apology to the American people for their prior collaboration with the Trump Regime and their part in the suffering now being caused.

He's tied for 3rd most Yeas with Hassan (NH) and Hickenlooper (CO). Behind Fetterman (PA) and Shaheen (NH) who have 11 Yeas.

As a New Hampshire resident, I don't think Shaheen and Hassan get enough attention for their work supporting the Trump Administration.

I ran for a seat on the Town Council when it was brought to my attention that the only other person running was a MAGA Republican. I ran not expecting to win but to show people that we have other options in our town, then I won. I am begging you, run for local office, you might surprise everyone.
In light of the stunning size of the blue wave, I’m also thinking of all the important races that Dems left on the table by not running a candidate:
Now 8 days to go before the deadline fully passes for local candidates to run in Virginia — and there still only are Republican candidates running for sheriff in the state's two biggest cities, as sheriffs ramp up their cooperation with ICE and federal immigration authorities.

Mamdani: Whether you are an immigrant, a member of the trans community, one of the many black women Donald Trump has fired from a federal job, a single mom still waiting for the cost of groceries to go down, or anyone else with your back still against the wall - your battle is ours too.

As many have pointed out, Mamdani didn't stand apart from our trans brothers and sisters. He didn't play the "Gee, gosh, it sure is complicated," milquetoast moderate card. And he crushed.

Came here to say this, but Jamelle Bouie has this covered. 👇
When the Democratic tent includes candidates like Spanberger and Mamdani, there is no crisis, or fight, for the party. IT’S A COALITION, NOT A POINT ESTIMATE.
i want to repeat this: mamdani and spanberger have run similar campaigns tailored to their respective electorates and it is maddening to watch political journalists attempt to create some broad contrast where none exist
the other thing about this is that there is no reason to pit these candidates against each other? each are good fits for their respective electorates and each shows the value of vigorous campaigns focused on the stated material problems of voters.
