Sad to report that visual effects artist Chris Stoski has passed away. Chris was the ILM digital matte supervisor for "Star Trek" (2009), and was responsible for this amazing painting of the Enterprise under construction.

I finally got around to watching The Endless. Holy shit, that's a good film. So incredibly well constructed and just beautifully shot. A perfect example of using the medium of film. You couldn't tell that story as well in any other way.
