Ridiculously, ridiculously honored to have MAN FINDS TAPE heading to Sitges, a festival I've long admired from a distance and will soon get to know a whole lot better. Surreal.

The FRAILTY Limited Edition Blu-ray release includes Bill Paxton's shooting script with all the notes he and writer Brent Hanley made.
This is cool as hell.

Vintage toy store finds I should have bought. (And that I think @gholson.bsky.social and @mikeryan.bsky.social may appreciate)

Thank you, New York and Tribeca Festival. You were very good to, and for, our weird little MAN FINDS TAPE crew.

Our movie MAN FINDS TAPE premieres at Tribeca in less than a week, so we've started doing press for it, so I'm realizing I'm going to get real obnoxious talking about this movie, but I'm just so excited for the work everyone put into it.
Make weird movies. And make them with friends.

Can't believe it's been a year since the world lost Scott. Time to crush White Claws and watch DREAMCATCHER, I guess.

THE PITT is phenomenal television, for the writing, the performances, the humor, the heart, the terror, but mainly because it's a surprising existential salve to spend time in a world where competent people who are very good at their jobs are allowed to be competent people very good at their jobs.

Yesterday I hosted a Q&A for Alex Garland and Ray Mendoza’s WARFARE, a haunting, one-of-a-kind film.
Also, I'd assume someone making movies as intense as Garland would also be intense, but he's the most disarming, “I’m just making stuff, idk, is it even good?” dude. A wildly pragmatic filmmaker.

Pssst. Michael Bay secretly directed a documentary and we're premiering it at SXSW... It's called WE ARE STORROR and it is *thrilling*. (Heads up, @themaclennan.bsky.social.)

And as I pre-write all of this at 1am the morning of the announcement, I realize there’s much more to talk about, but I have to cut this off somewhere. So I’ll leave with CLOWN IN A CORNFIELD, based on Adam Cesare’s book, and from the director of TUCKER AND DALE VS. EVIL. It’s a goddamned blast.

And for one final film about visitors from above (it’s a trend!), we’ve got Aaron Silverstein’s THE INFINITE HUSK, which is going to appeal to anyone who likes high concept, indie sci-fi.

Back in Narrative Spotlight but sticking with a space theme, we’ve got Kate Mara in Jess Varley’s THE ASTRONAUT, a very confident directorial debut I won’t say too much more about.

Still in Headliners, catch Flying Lotus’ ASH, starring Eiza González as an astronaut trying to get to the bottom of what went wrong on her space station. Fans of space bound horror are going to want to line up for this one.

Also in Headliners, we’ve got DROP, from HAPPY DEATH DAY director Christopher Landon, about a woman whose first date goes off the rails when mysterious messages start appearing on her phone.

And speaking of Paul Rudd, we’ve got the world premiere of Alex Scharfman’s DEATH OF A UNICORN, which I guarantee you is far, far, far gorier than you’re expecting, and based 100% on a true story.

We’ve got Nicolas Cage giving a truly peerless performance in Lorcan Finnegan’s THE SURFER, about a man who just wanted a nice day at the beach with his son. Gorgeous, sanity-rattling filmmaking.
