Austin! Alamo Drafthouse has added additional screenings of MAN FINDS TAPE on 12/5, 12/6, and 12/9. The other screenings sold out fast so make sure to jump on these while tickets are still available.

Bumping this for the folks who missed it.

I had the great pleasure of speaking with @monagle.bsky.social and @donatobomb.bsky.social about horror films, tabletop games, horror in tabletop, and the under-seen Canadian horror film Black Mountain Side (2014).

"There's a numbness that brings me back to studio rehashes of Robocop and Total Recall ... [boasting] one of the most disjointed finales of 2025."

THE RUNNING MAN is a real disappointment based on the talent involved.

It’s #TransgenderAwarenessWeek! Did you know that it’s so unlikely for a podcast host to be trans that statistics on it are inconclusive? And its even LESS likely if the show isn’t explicitly ABOUT transness?

At This Ends at Prom we got @harmonycolangelo.bsky.social, a girl who can do both.

We came. We saw. We got the only $6 Wicked margarita Chilis had left. This location was out of dragonfruit of all things, sour apple flavor only. At least we can say we did it haha.

Finally seeing Set It Off on Sunday (with bonus opener Vana, who I've really been digging as well)!

It's Friday, so that means we've got a new @certifiedforgot.bsky.social podcast episode up!

We welcome @byodinsbeardrpg.com for a guest episode to talk about tabletop RPGs, wintery horrors, and why BLACK MOUNTAIN SIDE is a The Thing copycat that rises above others.

OMG please read my piece on SOLSTICE.

I'm so very obsessed with this movie and grateful to @certifiedforgot.bsky.social for letting me write about it.
"Add in the copious gagging-up-mud scenes and breathless looking around, and you’ve got some truly disturbing imagery of a young woman haunted." Here's @xtinemakepeace.bsky.social on why SOLSTICE is more than just a product of its time. Probably.
I Know What You Did Last 'Solstice'
Christine Makepeace explains why Daniel Myrick's 'Solstice' occupies a fascinating transitional space in modern horror history.

THE CREEP TAPES S2 premieres today, kicking off a killer season full of Peachfuzz's tricks and treats.

I really enjoyed how Patrick Brice and Mark Duplass challenge Josef in this batch of episodes. Full (non-spoiler) review is up on @dailydead.bsky.social!

Please seek out this unique riff on a true story. An American Dream told as if it's a dream. The best PWH performance I've seen. Wonderful ensemble. Stellar production design. I wish everyone was talking about the scene with Johnny Knoxville as a Lynchian talk show host.
THE LUCKIEST MAN IN AMERICA is right in Paul Walter Hauser's wheelhouse. Likely won't get any awards attention, but glad I gave it a watch last night. Hauser's portrayal of a big-dreaming everyman is so authentically wounded, and the behind-the-scenes game show bits are a thrill. No Whammies here!

“Seems like a sure-fire business opportunity.” Why? Outlets with millions of views and proper funding are dying before our eyes, budgets are vanishing, and no one knows how another Google update will disrupt the industry as-is.

So few people understand what it takes to build an outlet from scratch.
People keep saying this and let me tell you, as one of way too many freelancers without a steady job, it is annoying!

THE RUNNING MAN: Disappointment has nothing to do with Glen Powell’s casting or hamfisted yet compelling media corruption themes. For a while, it's very much my shit—until a horrendous third act that seems hacked to bits. Wright's funny-then-not tonal iffiness and choppy climax are a mood killer.
