The opposite of woke is willful ignorance. Gen X, mostly TTRPGs and politics. BLM. Sex work is work. TERFs are trash. Fetuses aren’t people. Fascism is bad, actually. Leguminati. He/him.

I’ll admit that my Spanish is really bad, and I didn’t understand most of what Bad Bunny said at the halftime show.

…But since people are talking about Congressional investigations, could someone not cut that short by simply providing a translated transcript?

In a normal, non-insane universe, I would disagree. The president has a very important job, performing vital tasks.

…But the Orange Guy is really proving her point, isn’t he?
I truly don't believe we need a president at all. Governors are fine.

I grew up always understanding that fascism, and Nazis specifically, were dangerous, deadly, hateful, something to be fought against and opposed at every opportunity.

But in that whole time, I never, never imagined that they'd also be such incompetent dorks.

FYI, Project 2025 casts mere existence in the LGBTQ+ community as pornography.

Stay woke. Don’t say I didn’t warn y’all.
Notice how the focus on “pornograohy” has ramped up in an effort to distract from the truly offensive things those talking about it nonstop are committing. Pornography is for adults and isn’t for everyone; this isn’t complicated. What’s also just as simple is that locking 5 year olds up = evil.

At some point, I'm going to lay down a three-ring binder of all of this administration's many evils, and some Trump supporter is just going to grunt and say, "Still better than a Democrat."

And so help me, I will not be held responsible for my actions after that moment.

Reminder: the prisons she's talking about? They're currently holding more people than the Germans held in their concentration camps in 1939.
Prisons are for people who've been CONVICTED of crimes.

Most people in these warehouses - without proper food or sanitation or worse - haven't even been CHARGED with crimes.

And thousands are CHILDREN.

This will be another of America's greatest shames.

I’m increasingly convinced that the Mayan conspiracy people were right about 2012.

The world ended. We’re all dead. This is Hell.

"Sure, ICE is bad, but we need to deport illegal immigrants"

No you don't.

If immigration enforcement leads to concentration camps and roving death squads, maybe it's time to just get rid of the concept of illegal immigration entirely. You've tried it, it's a bad idea in practice, so bin it.

I think it's smart to withhold judgment on newly-elected Democrats until we see how they act. I hope they're exactly the progressives we need.

But let's not kid ourselves: the wave of Democrat wins isn't about the Democratic party at all. It's about our near-universal rage at the Republicans.

Body cams and more training won’t do anything to fix this. There is no reforming what ICE and DHS have become.

Abolition and criminal prosecution of everyone involved in this lawlessness is the only way we can walk back from the ledge.

Anyone arguing otherwise is effectively collaborating.

This guy’s got the right idea.
Rep. Seth Moulton: My position on immigration: We need to prosecute ICE officers who broke the law, impeach Noem and abolish ICE. But more than that we need to incentivize legal immigration and give them a pathway to citizenship for those who are here legally.

Democratizing the arts looks like universal income, low-barrier grants for both emerging and working artists, well-funded municipal arts & recreation programs, vibrant third spaces, and a well-funded public school system with progressive curriculum.

Not a free pass for corporate-owned slop engines.
Every instance of "AI democratizes the arts, you're classist and ableist and a gatekeeper for trying to stop it" is a slap in the face to the literally centuries of poor, disabled people making art on the margins and a crass lie in service of a machine that strips down and regurgitates dreams

But man, it’s gotten so much worse. Now their position is open, gleeful cruelty.
