Then: constitutional law should be boring, not exciting.

Now: constitutional law should be boring, not terrifying.

We do not have to love the whole of the person, but we have to respond with love to that part of them, and that can involve expecting better of them and preventing them from doing worse.

To me the more important (& more distinctive) thing is not that there is that of God in everyone, but that it is that part of them that we respond to.

If you want to share a grudge with your team fine, grab a post-it, send an email. But personally that feels like it's watering it down - and if they can't pick up on the grudgementalness without it being written then you clearly aren't seething enough to justify getting out the tome.

That's the weirdest bit of this for me - surely any grudge strong enough to merit recording in a leather-bound tome is so keenly felt that it doesn't need it? Like, if you need to jot it down you just aren't grudging hard enough.

And also, even if they are paying you to do it - stop doing it! (though I suspect that won't apply to many people here!)

I’ve done some things in my past that I find difficult to talk about for example there was the time I picked a peck of pickled pepper.

My current personal goal is to internalise that just because I have gotten a whole something I do not have to finish it. I can have a coffee and only drink half of it. I don't know why I find this so hard.

Hard relate. I am aware, theoretically, that sweets and chocolate can come in something other than single-portion packs, but I'm not sure if I've ever encountered one in the wild, however big the portion ends up being.

I mean.. He seems not to have grasped that 'third world' countries still have the infrastructure to connect to international banking systems. Drop a billionaire in there and they remain a billionaire. If they've dropped to millionaire status within a year that's on them. (and is an improvement)

The guy who gives more presents to rich kids than poor ones, thereby entrenching a repressive social order? That guy? Absolutely!

Even as a vegan, I have to admit that the Muse makes an excellent point here.
I don’t understand why people attempt to denigrate Hallmark Christmas films by referring to them as “too cheesy”, as if that is a bad thing? I mean, have you *had* cheese? It’s not exactly the insult that you think it is.
