it’s still a pun on "paltry” do you get it
Darkly funny how little interest the press has in labeling “out of touch” the billionaire president born into unimaginable wealth and who just this year has on at least three occasions talked publicly about how he is unfamiliar with the word “groceries” and does not know what health insurance is.
I mean, there's "out of touch" and then there's whatever the fuck this is:
"They're actually able to go out & negotiate their own insurance"
"They're actually able to go out & negotiate their own insurance"
Trump: "I want the money to go into an account for people where they buy their own health insurance. It's so good. The insurance will be better. It'll cost less. Everybody is gonna be happy. They're gonna feel like entrepreneurs. They're actually able to go out & negotiate their own insurance"

It is genuinely very funny that younger and/or more progressive Seattle voters just always and in hilariously large numbers wait until the last minute to vote despite everyone getting their postage-paid ballot like three weeks before Election Day.

Sweeney is in a strange place for a celebrity, she’s hyper famous and considered a movie star but has only had a major role in one movie that people saw (Anyone But You) and arguably none that people have both seen and liked.
‘Christy’ starring Sydney Sweeney opens to $1.3M at the domestic box office
• Top 10 worst opening weekend ever for a film in over 2,000 theaters
• ~$646 per-theater average

I am once again saying that we saw what wall to wall, panic coverage of a crisis looked like after the Biden debate and there’s no reason Trump isn’t getting that kind of coverage except for class solidarity.
So the oldest person ever to become president keeps falling asleep in his office during public events and there’s no big public discussion on how this is a coverup or how republicans are lying to us about how this government is running?

I sort of defended DDHQ’s call yesterday but I was wrong and they screwed up, it’ll be close and maybe REALLY close but Wilson is very likely going to win.
JUST IN: Katie Wilson cuts Bruce Harrell's lead by more than half with today's ballot drop, cutting her deficit from 9908 votes to 4300 votes.
She won today's batch of 55,952 ballots by 10%; that's *more* than she needed to win the outstanding ballots by.
Over 50K ballots left to count in Seattle.

A more pertinent question: Why might one mayor in one city be a political liability for national Democrats, while the president, VP, various governors, and members of Congress are not for the national Republicans, let alone any GOP mayor?
How did that come to be? Who makes that happen?
