I was at a DC house party and I showed a picture of my girlfriend at the time (who was Chinese American) to a group of people and a gop staffer straight up asked why I was dating a “yellow commie” if you don’t think this is a thing
Basically, what we have here is a situation where you had China hawks and race war hawks and it turns out the latter outnumbered the former about 30:1 and them not realizing this fact was kinda loadbearing for the entirety of traditional establishment national security thought.

This is incorrect: (1) Department of War was just the Army, not the Navy and Marine Corps; and (2) the President does not have the authority, only Congress can make that change in the law. Be better, @npr.org.

People working in universities know a lot of the work that makes the organization function is outsourced to for-profit companies (catering, landscaping) or runs on platforms requiring payments to such companies: Workday, Canvas, Microsoft, Zoom.
