“Oversight is a core responsibility of Members of Congress—and a constitutional duty we do not take lightly. We’ll continue standing up for the rule of law.”

Last week marked 16 years since the Supreme Court’s disastrous decision in Citizens United.

I’ve authored a proposed constitutional amendment — H.J.Res. 122 — to overturn it & over 70 of my colleagues have joined our effort.

I’ll keep fighting to get it across the finish line.

As we continue to mourn the deaths of Renee Good and Alex Pretti, we also must lift the stories of the 32 people who died in ICE custody just last year.

In December, 6 people died in ICE’s custody — the deadliest month in the history of the agency.

It is shameful, and it must end.

The best part of my job is meeting with Coloradans. It’s why I’ve held a record number of town halls & am one of only a few representatives to host open office hours with constituents.

Grateful to the many folks who attended yesterday in Longmont.

I promise to keep showing up!

Hundreds of constituents braved the cold today to protest in Longmont.

The lawlessness and cruelty being perpetrated against the American people must end.

I voted against the ICE funding bill — the Senate must do the same this week and block the bill!

This cannot continue.

The Senate MUST block the ICE funding bill this week. Full stop.

House Republicans’ top legislative priority this week is a bill to apparently lower that number to zero.

Not me.

Instead, I sued ICE — and the Federal court in my lawsuit (Neguse et. al v. ICE) just recently ruled in our favor.

We must keep pushing for accountability and the rule of law.
