I guess that partly explains why he is going bonkers over that video. But it’s almost like he knows it’s going to spoil his plan completely.

Again, the normal response to the ads would be we have no intention of issuing illegal orders.
For over 300 years now, it is a bedrock principle in Anglo-American constitutionalism that obedience is owed according only to law. Refusal to follow an illegal command is not only a moral choice but an absolute duty.
