The fact that people in DC circles both seem to think calling for the abolition of ICE is "mostly symbolic" and also refuse to do it because of an entirely fictional wonky complexity they have invented in their head is part of the fucking problem.

If the president can rendition legal residents, cut funding for anything he wants, violate all of our treaty commitments, & can monetize the presidency, then he can try to not seat the next Congress/Dems in Jan 27. Folks who swore oaths should be preparing for what stopping that is going to require.
