Taunting is not a justification for arbitrary executions. Collective guilt is contrary to the rule of the law. Resisting the state— even if unlawful and prosecutable—doesn’t justify a death sentence. Our colonial ancestors rejected that agents of the state are absolutely immune for their wrongdoing.

In the video that the shooter took, which I believe was leaked to be exculpatory, he appears to yell “fucking bitch” after he shoots Renee Good.

It took me a while, but I finally wrote to Wegmans to say I'm only shopping at their competitors until they stop using facial recognition in their stores. (I clarified that I only shop curbside, but it's sufficiently unethical technology that I can't in good conscience shop anywhere that uses it.)
