Just found out that my neighbor died. She was in her late 60s and had COVID multiple times. Each bout weakened her system a little more. When she got it again in December, it killed her.

Phoebe is very old (18, which isn't record-breaking for a cockatiel, but he's been frail for several years) and pretty much allowed to do whatever he wants. A lot of the time, lately, that's sticking his face right up against the warm-but-not-hot full-spectrum bulbs above their cages.
