Optioned screenwriter. Author of that novel you haven't read. No, the other one. Pinko lefty. Oversharer.

Okay, folks. For reasons beyond my control, the series had to be retitled, so allow me to officially make a re-introduction to
REMNANTS, BOOK ONE: DUST.

(ASHES, book two of the REMNANTS duology, is also available. New audio versions aren't up yet, but will be soon.)
Does it make a difference if a middle-aged straight-passing white man says it?

There is no such thing as "underage women." They're girls. They're children.

There is no such thing as "sex with children." It's rape.

Really difficult to overstate the fury one should feel that the GOP and institutions like the New York Times went all in on transphobia as some mortal threat to women and girls while covering up something like this.
When you read these Epstein emails, you start to understand why so many prominent conservatives are obsessed with checking the genitals of children. It's a big thing for them!

As all this disgusting Epstein shit starts surfacing more and more, I hope we don't lose sight of the fact that apparently every major media outlet knew everything and instead spent their time money and energy attacking the trans community.

New D&D character idea:

A Jewish druid named Shilleliahu. 😆

(If you don't get it... Sorry. Way too many layers to explain. 😝)

Okay. Last night was half of what I asked for.

Now if I could also get some major, sweeping *personal/career* good news/victories, we'll have the other half covered. 😝

The full weight of western capitalism is about to laser focus on NYC. The robber barons failed to win and will panic. They will sabotage NYC because the system cannot allow Mamdani's term to be successful. They cannot allow people to believe things can be better. Your job now is to hold the line.

This is incredibly important:

we must frame tonight as a resounding victory — an electoral landslide, a mandate from the universe itself

and as a repudiation of MAGA, of Trump, and of vichy democrats

we must be relentless, we must not shut up

I was born in NY, though we moved before I was a year old.

I visited often to see family. While I enjoyed the trips, I never really cared for the city itself. (Though that's through the eyes of a child, FWIW.)

Tonight, for the first time, a part of me would at least *consider* ever moving back. ❤

I'm having trouble believing it. Even as source after source in NYC call it, it doesn't feel real yet.

He was finally able to let go and leave us, secure in the knowledge that his political party will continue carrying out his beloved mission of murdering countless innocents so the rich can amass further wealth.

This is disastrous on multiple levels. Fuck.
I was laid off from Teen Vogue today along with multiple other staffers, and today is my last day.

certainly more to come from me when the dust has settled more, but to my knowledge, after today, there will be no politics staffers at Teen Vogue.

I just heard a medieval-style cover of the Benny Hill theme, in case you were wondering what the actual living soul of a D&D party sounds like. 😆

Today's new Order of the Stick encourages to ask important questions.

Questions like, "Are you feeling entirely okay, @rich-burlew.giantitp.com?" 😆

Everyone remember to leave kitchen knives and babysitters by the chimney for Michael tonight!

After all the momentum and groundswell, if Mamdani loses because supporters couldn't be bothered to get off their asses and actually vote, I'm going to become the Joker.

Several of my scripts were written with specific actors imagined in major parts. I never thought they would ever actually *be* in those movies, even if I actually manage to sell those scripts and see the movies made. It was just a purely inner vision thing for my own reference.

And yet...

Trying out photo mode in Baldur's Gate 3, along with mods to allow for appearance changes and varied outfits.

Because men in their 50s will absolutely play dress-up with dolls as long as they're 1) electronic, and 2) called "D&D characters."

Last month, I canceled my Disney+ subscription, as so many of us did. My subscript included Hulu as part of the bundle.

This month, I got charged... for a Hulu membership.

Silly question for those of you still deeply into Baldur's Gate 3.

I'm looking for a mod that will allow the addition of Dame Aylin's kintsugi/cracks to other characters of all races (or at least all non-small races).

I should be writing a one-page synopsis of SHEEP'S CLOTHING right now.

No, like this moment. Should be writing that. Immediately.

Soon.

Any minute now...

I'll do a search for this myself if need be, but I'd prefer recommendations from people I trust.

One of the oddities of the weird way I came to script writing is that I've never had to do a one-page synopsis. I've got one-paragraph pitches, and the scripts themselves, but nothing between.

So...

Billie Eilish should sing the theme song to the upcoming It prequel, Welcome to Derry.

"You Should See Me in a Clown."

I have always loved the flavor of the warlock class in 5E D&D, but I've never been a big fan of the mechanics. (There's nothing wrong with them per se, they just don't play the way I want a "warlock" to play.)

Me: I'm going to run this D&D campaign differently than my previous ones.

Also me: I'M FREAKING OUT WHY DOES THIS CAMPAIGN FEEL SO DIFFERENT
