hyped for this, Andy Beta one of the few writers who was able to maintain a distinct identity in the face of the Pitchfork house style
From @whiterabbitbks.bsky.social, the first full-length biography of Alice Coltrane, the jazz musician + spiritual leader who laid the groundwork for new age, ambient and electronic music. So ready for this.

I have a theory that the reason why “trauma” was on this regime’s list of un-fundable research is because we are very close to finding out just how strongly linked it is to a myriad of cardiac, neurological, and autoimmune issues, and that could result in some very costly lawsuits
NEW: A growing body of research shows that trauma caused by ICE and Trump's immigration policies can potentially cause long-term harm in the bodies and brains of Asian youth.

This story is the first part of an investigative series produced by @mindsitenews.bsky.social and co-published by The Xylom.
“I Am Fighting Every Single Day to Just Get Through the Day”
“ I felt guilty that my mom was home alone. I felt guilty that my dad wasn’t going to be there, either. I didn’t want my dad to think that I didn’t care that he’s in there and I’m out here having…

In any event: remember that the real race in NY-12 is the primary, because whoever is the Democrat on the ballot is the one who will win.

Conway is running to push out Democrats, not to beat a Republican.

For the record, I am also really annoyed about people who fundraise and say "I'm running against Lauren Boebert, and she only won by 546 votes" and neglect to mention that she moved to a different district which is substantially more red.

His fundraising is designed to appeal to people who know nothing about where he is running or who he is running against.

I fucking hate this shit.

The district he is running in is BLUE blue.

He is running to make the country less blue. That is what he is doing.

If Conway were running in a red district, we could talk. He is literally running to replace a very progressive member of Congress.

Just a reminder that George Conway is not fundraising right now to run against a MAGA republican.

He is fundraising to run against progressive Democrats.

My roommate is a teacher and has reported that ICE has been hanging around Septa stops and depots in the interest of abducting kids on their way home because they aren’t allowed to enter schools. They claimed to be part of a “Septa Strike Force” which does not exist. Boost if you can.

I was wrong, I thought I was done RTing this but unfortunately the need is still high
So, in the last few weeks I got hit with a bill for a sleep study I I had already paid a co-pay for...for 758 dollars. Needed 2238 dollars worth of car repairs and still have 368 dollars from dental work. Venmo: ONIRAM48, paypal: btmarino84@gmail.com. I hate to ask, but not sure what else to do.

fucking hell man, this sucks.
damn, declan shalvey possibly donating 400 dollars to the human goblin glinner would be nasty work.

i suppose its none of my business other than the fact that i support trans people and glinner's entire existence is to do the exact opposite so donating a single cent to him would be disgusting imo.

Yes, for sure. It's not that they *aren't* scared. It's that such a fear is a product of an ideological project. A project that gives cops carte blanche to transmute fear into violence, and which convinces people who should love their neighbors to instead fear them enough to excuse those cops.
tbf, I can believe theyre scared. because if anyone in america is made up of the most chickenshit people on earth, its cops.

I have seen three videos now, all of them contradict Tricia's statement. And every single journalist who interacts with her knows that she lies all the time in ways that can be proven, which should also be stated in the piece.
the nyt says that no version of events in minneapolis can be "verified independently." but that's not true! there are multiple videos proving that the ICE version of events is a total lie. maybe the nyt can, y'know, watch one of them? www.nytimes.com/live/2026/01...
