$.25 a minute is wild. For any trip I’ve done on biketown in the past (always more than 30 minutes), I’d just buy the day pass now.

Breaking news: The Justice Department has issued subpoenas for Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey as part of an investigation alleging that they are impeding federal law enforcement officers’ abilities to do their jobs in the state.

The actual story is that a family of American citizens trying to evacuate from a neighborhood that ICE had made unsafe, and then ICE tossed munitions into the car, causing three kids to be hospitalized and a six month old to stop breathing. DHS called the family “radical agitators”

It’s been reported locally, but I’m not sure how much national notice this has gotten. As part of this invasion by shithead goons, they are putting ICE agents in jetbridges and other parts of the airport at Minneapolis-Saint Paul. If you are flying Delta via MSP, you are putting yourself at risk.

Repeal the Comstock Act; we need to get out of the 1870s.
At a Senate hearing this morning, Republicans & their anti-abortion allies called for the FDA to immediately prevent abortion pills from being prescribed virtually and mailed — & for the DOJ to prosecute providers under the 19th-century Comstock Act.

Here's what you missed ⤵️
Republicans push for new restrictions on abortion pills at fiery Senate hearing
Republican senators argued the FDA should prevent abortion pills from being prescribed virtually and mailed, while Democrats dismissed the hearing as political.

Infuriating story about a young mom, just a few weeks pregnant and with a serious heart condition, getting substandard care everywhere she turned
1/ Ciji Graham was the mother of 2-year-old SJ, a sister to 9 younger siblings, a beloved friend.

She's also the 7th case we’ve found of a pregnant woman in a state restricting abortion who died after being unable to access standard care.

This is her story.

Saint Paul schools will be closed Tuesday and Wednesday to prepare for optional online learning.

I’ve seen schools close for snow, for pandemic, for natural disaster. I’ve never seen schools close because of threat from our own government.

Having seen several abductions up close, it is really hard to convey how much the thing they’re doing is roaming in military convoys until they see someone who is alone and isn’t white, and then jumping out in large numbers, pulling them into a van, and screeching off, all in 90 seconds or so.

A St. Paul resident says federal officers knocked on her door and asked her to identify Hmong and Asian households in her North End neighborhood last week.

Reminder that these kind of door-to-door “general warrants” are both explicitly illegal and also a major trigger for the American Revolution.
A video of ICE agents conducting door-to-door searches today in Minneapolis

The homeowner requests a warrant repeatedly, is told they don't require one, then is told they're getting it, then the agents storm in anyway

They also point a taser at her to try and disrupt filming
