“False herring” is stupid, but the most dishonest & manipulative word here is “now.” As if this is some novelty. But warrants for entering homes, like cops who show their faces & badges, is how we’ve done things for 250 years. The radical novelty is suggesting we STOP doing these things.
Emmer: "It's a false herring for these guys to suggest, 'Oh, we now we need a judicial warrant,' because they know that that's going to delay any enforcement of the actual administrative warrant."

The American people badly need their Congress to show courage, and to fight for them.

Let us hope that this small step in that direction will be a turning point, and a harbinger of more action to come. 4/4

Voter fraud is yet another "issue" that isn't an issue at all. Through countless studies, systematic voter fraud has never been found to exist. Voter suppression is real, though, and there are libraries full of data.
We've got the numbers: Last year we published (in partnership with the @brennancenter.org and @umd-cdce.bsky.social) survey results showing that some 21.3 million Americans could be disenfranchised by the SAVE Act, which the House''ll vote on tomorrow.

Time to send this thing back to its grave.
Millions of Americans Don’t Have Documents Proving Their Citizenship Readily Available
Requiring Americans to prove their citizenship to register to vote would exclude millions of citizens from the political process.

So much of politics in this country is people in the lap of luxury lecturing people who are hungry, uncertain, & anxious to "bootstrap" themselves, with no acknowledgement that, in the circumstances of modern poverty, that's *harder to do than anything any of these rich fucks have ever done*.

“Staffer declared military invasion in error.”

“Staffer fired cabinet member in error.”

This is the government they created — and it highlights why the government they created is so exceptionally dangerous to national security. The systems and bureaucracy, it turns out, exist for a reason.
You want to President by Truth?

Well, then you are Presidenting by Truth.
So, first of all, of course it was Trump.

But even if they were telling the truth, "We give staffers who post videos of the Obamas as apes access to the agenda-setting, decree-sending, market-moving account of the president of the United States" is not the exculpatory statement they think it is.

Liam made people look. Now don’t look away.

We still have children in ICE custody eating bad food, drinking questionable water, living in filthy conditions, and carrying a lifetime of trauma they shouldn’t have to survive.

People keep saying "Getting arrested is bad, actually" and while I'd certainly prefer not to be, the administration's entire strategy is built around the idea that I will live in fear of it, and shape my behavior to avoid it, and cry in shame if I am. That is how THEY CONTROL YOU.

Actions speak louder than words.

Tom Homan says he wants to do things differently, but we have yet to see meaningful change.

The only way to ensure the safety of the people of Minnesota is for the federal government to draw down their forces and end this campaign of brutality.

I get tired of saying it, but I’ll say it again: the nature of oppression in America is that they workshop it first on Black, Latino, Asian & Native people.

But it is always, in the end, coming for everyone.
The arrests of journalists Don Lemon and Georgia Fort are a test for every MSM member with a platform. If you are not voicing your outrage at this blatant violation of the First Amendment, you are utterly discredited as a journalist.

The federal presence in Minnesota has been especially tough on our local businesses.

Choosing to shop local, grab takeout, or visit a neighborhood store is one way we can stand with our neighbors and continue to show the nation what it means to respond with care and decency.

We did not properly punish the confederates. We did not properly punish the insurrectionists on January 6th. We have to punish ICE.

They can’t be allowed to slink back into their communities quietly. Expose them. Arrest them. Convict them. Imprison them.

Do not fall for this garbage. DHS came into my city with an offensive posture, conducted itself as an invader, often attacked residents without any plausible connection to immigration enforcement, violently seized people off the streets. Now it’s our fault people died?
Homan: "I begged for the last two months on TV for the rhetoric to stop. I said in March -- if the rhetoric doesn't stop, there is gonna be bloodshed. And there has been. I wish I wasn't right. I don't want to see anybody die."

Yes - until you see it firsthand, it’s hard to understand how upsetting and enraging it is to see these guys operate in your community. They are dressed for war, they beat civilians up, they openly antagonize neighbors, they’re masked, they carry people away. Everyone is livid at every scene.
This video clip also demonstrates that Alex Pretti was made very angry by the brutal, lawless violence of the DHS. That makes him just like me, and a large part of America.

Until he was shot 10 times in the back.

4) And they STILL haven’t released the Epstein files.
Of the biggest scandals in US history just this week, I think I’d rank them:

1) Federal paramilitaries invade US city based on racist lies, murder US citizens

2) Slush fund for the president from stolen foreign resources held in Qatar

3) Whatever FBI and DNI are doing re: 2020 election in Georgia

Including $21 million in Illinois.

There’s no money for health care.

But half a billion to waste on intimidating Americans in their own communities.

The killing of Alex Pretti and the grotesque lying was an overreach by the administration. They've paid a price and had to pull back a bit. But it's when there's some disarray that the democratic opposition needs to intensify the offensive, and turn a marginal tactical success into a major victory.
