Aggressively, zealously centrist. Authoritarianism and disinformation, in all its forms, can get stuffed. #ElbowsUp and #SlavaUkraini 🇨🇦 🇺🇦
MAGA is cruelty. They revel in it. It fuels them. They made such a fuss about Hillary calling them "deplorables", but that really didn't cover it, did it?
On Thanksgiving, the immigrant children held at the Dilley detention center gathered in the gym for what they thought was a holiday feast.

The kids salivated over a spread of turkey, sandwiches, pastries and pies, a family told me.

But the food wasn’t for detainees — it was for the staff.

I feel this way about pretty much all vaccine-preventable infectious diseases. You shouldn't be allowed to dump cyanide into municipal drinking water and you shouldn't be allowed to recreationally spread viruses around shared public spaces.
My most authoritarian opinion is that the MMR vaccine should be mandatory, with only medical (not religious or floofy) exemptions allowed. www.theatlantic.com/ideas/2026/0...

Canada has already come to the same realization as Germany, here:

America isn't the way it is because Trump is president; Trump is president because of the way America is.

When Trump goes, very little will return to the way things were, and I don't think this has dawned on Americans yet.
Europeans (except Germans) tend to think the continent can ride out Donald Trump, and that once he is no longer president US foreign policy towards Europe will return to how it was before

My latest: With his new auto sector strategy and a plan to double grid capacity, Mark Carney isn't just talking a good game on diversifying our trade relationships away from America.

He's also building a roadmap to Canada's low-carbon future. #cdnpoli

Mark Carney just picked his lane on climate change
For all the recent talk about pipelines, it's clear that Mark Carney's economic strategy revolves around turning Canada into one of the world's leading electro-states.

Reminder that, in addition to all the other horrific things the MAGA regime is doing, they are *also* intentionally creating a humanitarian crisis in Cuba as an attempted form of cruel-and-lazy regime change.

With MAGA, the cruelty is always the point.

My roommate in college blasted Corb Lund *constantly*, and I hated it.

Six months after I graduated and moved away, I got the urge to listen to him. Then I saw him live. Twice. I sing "Horse Soldier" to my kids at bed time.

He's a good dude who make good music 🍁🪕

Why is anyone even talking to the US anymore on peace in Ukraine? They have zero stake in it now other than the strictly transactional act of selling weapons to the EU via PURL.

Also note the tone from this US outlet: there is *zero* condemnation of these overt steps to assault our sovereignty, like splitting our country in half is as morally ambiguous as buying a litre of milk.
