On Twitter I would click on a tweet about music or culture or whatever by someone explicitly or only peripherally political and, looking for witty & whimsical discourse, the top 5 replies would be blue-check red-assed chuds spewing their tedious sludge.
This is not just revisionist history, it's ignorant of reality. Activists didn't leave Twitter because they "thought they would be more effective" somewhere else, they left because Elon made it clear that he would *deliberately undermine their influence."

Why make shit up?
I’m not upset. I’m bemused that activists thought they would be more effective by giving up a platform where they had considerable influence and self segregating on a site almost no one else reads.

Just in the past 3 days, I happened to speak to an academic, a US politician and a former Biden official who had all received death threats and severe harassment from the MAGA movement. It's now a common experience. I am sorry MTG has to live through the same thing, but she can't be surprised
MTG: “.. “I am now being contacted by private security firms with warnings for my safety as a hot bed of threats against me are being fueled and egged on by the most powerful man in the world. .. The man I supported and helped get elected.”

“straight up giving the president a bar of gold” is where we’re at now on the “corruption isn’t real” scale

good work, John Roberts
"It was tough to beat Apple, but the Swiss did it." said one administration official.

I’m going to think about this every day until either Epstein or Trump is out of the news.
He must really want to explain that it doesn't mean what we all think it means, but he can't because it actually means something worse.

This is true J.D.!
On sexual deviance, on corruption, on truth-telling, on ignorance of just about anything tied to how the world works, on crassness, etc.

It's like that window was part of the old East Wing!

Shortly before Epstein was arrested on federal sex trafficking charges, his adviser sent him an email reporting that he had scrubbed through Trump's financial records. It's unclear why or how Epstein responded, but....interesting. www.nytimes.com/live/2025/11...

just how fuckin bad are the rest of those files
Back and then gone again, Republican leadership are signaling that the funding bill votes will be the only votes in the House this week, they're sending everyone home afterwards

I fackin knew it.
I think Boebert's vulnerable too.
Nancy Mace is expected to pull her support for the petition to release the Epstein Files, the day before Adelita Grijalva is sworn in.

Do NOT grant these evil people the assumption that they will get away with anything. We don’t know that.

Repeatedly making demands for accountability can and does break through over time, even against the right wing noise machine.

Particularly so now that we see payback in Maxwell prison conditions plus maybe evidence her statements not even true.

Looks more and more like this “interview” was a personal/political errand run by DAG to minimize Trump damage; no govt purpose.

Wolff, an unctuous fabulist, gave PR advice to the immeasurably vile Epstein, in which they both take for granted that Trump is a moron. And also vile!
I have some fresh questions about how Wolff got almost 18 months of unrestricted access to both the Trump campaign and, later, the West Wing to write his book (that curiously doesn't mention this at all to my knowledge)

If this is what they are doing with the AI, what do you think they are doing with the much simpler and easier to control algorithm that chooses which posts you see and which of your posts are seen by others?

If they just did this with Grok today, they owe a credit to Jared Poland and @thebulwark.com for making the Truth Social AI admit Trump’s a lying sack of shit (published today).
