In the century leading up to 1975, nearly 6000 freighters went down in the Great Lakes.
The Edmund Fitzgerald was the last.
The last. In 50 years, not a single commercial freighter has been lost in the Great Lakes.
Why?
It's NOAA. Of course it's NOAA.

A short list of who to primary.
a close up of a man 's face with a beard looking at the camera .
Alt: Close up of a Stansfield (Gary Oldman), the corrupt DEA agent in the film Leon: The Professional. He's a white guy about 40, with stringy brown hair and an unkempt mustache/goatee thing going on. He's sweating more than an agent should sweat unless he's chasing someone. Wearing an off-white suit jacket. In the GIF he turns to the camera and says "EVERYONE!", as in that's all of the backup agents he wants his guys to call to handle the rapidly deteriorating tactical situation he has put himself in as he tries to capture the hitman Leon.

Update: the additional information was cursed.
"Give up the ACA subs or we'll keep starving children" seems like a pretty unpopular policy choice. But also, "okay, deal" seems like a pretty weak response.
