Annual reminder if God forbid you are thinking about it, giving up coffee for Lent is presuming to choose a penance for everyone around you.

I love me some Luxardo cherries (in Adult Beverages), and I love me some Cherry Coke. Why it has never occurred to me to try this is a mystery, but I’m gonna have to.
Put a couple of Luxardo cherries and a little of the syrup in a Coke, and boy that was a good decision. They really taste completely different than the cheap grocery store maraschinos.

UK folk, please support the HECK out of this so they get enough support to justify coming to the US. Bay Area, specifically. Thanks in advance!

I am (perhaps unreasonably) excited by this!

I'm the disciples AND Martha.

God willing, I will never be Isaiah (because that would be traumatic to so many people.)
Tag yourself in the disciples
Reminds me of this really cringy poster that hangs in the entrance of my in-laws' church.

My money is on "8+ instances of the card game 'war'".
So I know this isn’t the most important point, but what are the 8+ wars that Trump believes that he’s stopped?

I think it was @jamellebouie.net the other day who basically said "a lot of y'all are dooming and acting like you're really sophisticated politics knowers when really you just have untreated/undiagnosed anxiety" and aint that the truth.

This is a good essay. It should be read widely. (Though as someone who often wears kilts, I was momentarily taken aback by @schlesingene.bsky.social 's use of true/false Scotsmen wearing kilts to illustrate his point 😝) ⚓
I wrote this essay in anticipation of the Feast of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. After this week's news cycle if feels distressingly more salient than when I was drafting it. ⚓
Lift High the Cross - The Living Church
If a theology of the cross leaves the powerful unchallenged, it’s a theology narrated from the perspective of Pilate, not the Nazarene.

@frame.work Howsabout it, huh? Ghosting paying customers isn't exactly cool (or, for that matter, good business).
I’m now two weeks into not having a functional laptop with no sign of having it replaced or refunded by @frame.work . I used to be a pretty big booster of them- fully modular? Less e-waste! I was hoping this would be my forever machine. Instead it has become my biggest computing regret.
