Eventually these cowards are going to work their way down to a level of metropolis that even the rubes will push back on. “Roanoke is a war-torn hell hole. We need to send the Army into Spartanburg.” C’mon man, you’re just embarrassing yourself.
Rep. Pat Harrigan: "I have asked Josh Stein, our governor, to consider working with President Trump to allow the National Guard to come into Charlotte ... use the National Guard as a force multiplier and they can a lot of load off the Charlotte PD."

Wow. 14" of fresh powder in Canaan Valley, West Virginia this morning. But that's not all.
Flurries were even reported in Myrtle Beach, SC; Charlotte and Atlanta.
Is this a sign of a BIG winter to come? Our winter outlook is coming out later this week. Stay tuned.

"Scared of Charlotte" is a whole new level of "scared of cities" that I'd never even considered possible

I swear to God, we just need to get someone into the room who can convincingly brand UBI as Universal Trump Bucks and we’d be off to the races.
POLITICO: “.. The White House was blindsided by the idea, according to two people familiar with the situation .. and is now dealing with a furious backlash from conservative allies, business leaders and lawmakers.” 🤡

Senator who provided unanimous consent says what?
The sooner we get past internal recriminations and back to fighting united, the better off we all are — the likelier our victory next November.

Super encouraging that there were a bunch of Democrats who had to be talked out of capitulating *before* the election that delivered historic Dem victories.

This article is probably true. It doesn't say he privately fought to extend the government shutdown beyond Sunday.
"...he was privately cajoling a group of moderates not to fold before November."
That's in line with reporting that said Dems wanted to get to election day, Nov. 4, before folding.

Why is the "we must be united!" hectoring directed at people who are mad at the Cavers and not to the Cavers? Everyone who's mad was united, then the Cave Caucus walked across the aisle and betrayed what the public had been told was the Dem position.

I can't stress this enough as a super volunteer for the Democratic Party and Democratic candidates. This should prompt you to get MORE involved, not less. Show up and use the existing infrastructure to make it work for all of us. In my neck of the woods, we've seen a ton of local victories this way.
Right, the answer isn't to abandon the party to these weasels.
The answer is to flood the party with people who will take it over and transform it.

Hey, a lot of people are talking about changing affiliation from Democratic to Independent.
Let me tell you why you shouldn’t do that in Colorado.
One of the main ways to get a primary challenge candidate on a ballot is to caucus for your party. You need to be registered as a Dem to caucus.

Sounds like we have not been bullying politicians in casual social interactions enough, and that everyone who runs into Tim Kaine should be sure to tell him what we think, so he won’t be able to look us in the eye after how he betrayed us all.
Tim Kaine on backlash he's getting: "I got the first good night's sleep last night that I've gotten since Oct 1, b/c I wasn't worried about being able to look Capitol Police in the eye when I walked in, or what a furloughed fed worker would say to me at church, or what somebody would say about SNAP"
